Aesaert is Growing: A New Chapter in Gentbrugge
More and more people seem to be noticing the stickers, which keeps leading to the same question: “Are you doing something in Gentbrugge?”
So here it is, a little update from our side.
We’re very excited to share that Aesaert has purchased a new office in Gentbrugge.
This step feels like a natural evolution. Aesaert has been growing steadily, and with that growth comes the need for more space. Not just any space, but a place where everything we do can truly come to life. A place where our bags are displayed the way they deserve, where craftsmanship is visible, and where creativity has room to breathe.
The new location will include a much larger workshop space for our leather workshops, giving us the opportunity to welcome more people and share the craft in a deeper way. We’re also creating our own photo studio, allowing us to capture Aesaert exactly as we see it: pure, honest, and fully aligned with who we are.
We’ve already been working behind the scenes for quite some time, but good things take time. The official opening is planned for 2027.
For this project, I’m taking on the role of architect myself, with the support and guidance of my former employer, Pascal Francois. It’s important to me to oversee every detail, to ensure that the building truly reflects Aesaert in atmosphere, in materials, and in feeling. It has to breathe Aesaert in every corner.
For those who know the area, you’ll be able to spot the building as you exit the highway in Gentbrugge. It’s a place that’s visible, grounded, and ready for what’s next.
We’re really looking forward to welcoming you there one day. But for now, a little patience. It will take some time, but we truly believe it will be worth the wait.
With love,
Griet
