Belgian leather label AESAERT launches a supple laptop bag

The Ghent-based leather goods house AESAERT presents its latest creation: NINA, an elegant laptop bag that combines structure with the signature suppleness of AESAERT leather.

“I’ve made no fewer than eight prototypes over the past three years,” says Griet Aesaert, founder of AESAERT. “Today, there is a clear divide in handbags: mini or oversized. With NINA, I wanted something large, but not rigid. A bag that lives, moves, and is refined at the same time.”

"The design process takes a long time; I give myself the time and freedom to work on a design for months, sometimes even years. Only when everything is perfectly refined does it go into production”, says Griet Aesaert, founder of AESAERT, with conviction.

The NINA was designed in our atelier in Ghent, at the request of a client who wanted a bag made from our vegetable-tanned leather. This leather is produced in one of Belgium’s finest tanneries and is known for its exceptional quality. The supple character of AESAERT leather truly comes into its own in this spacious, elegant design.
